Founded in 1909, Komaki Distillery embarked on its whisky-making journey in 2023, drawing on more than a hundred years of distilling expertise honed through generations of shochu-making.

“Syuten” is the landmark first edition in Komaki Distillery’s whisky story, opening a new chapter in its long tradition of distilling craftsmanship

Crafted from whisky matured in a selection of casks, with ex-bourbon barrels at its heart.

The whisky matures in a historic stone cellar designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. Kagoshima’s distinctive climate and the quiet atmosphere of the centuries-old cellar helped shape the character of this single malt Japanese whisky.

With this inaugural first release, Komaki Distillery brings together a long heritage of distilling craftsmanship and a pioneering spirit of exploration.
